The death of Pinochet

Since 1990 Chile lives an irregular period called, for the men of polity, “transition to the democracy”. This period is full of contradictions and strange facts about the end of the dictatorship and the supposed freedom of the Chilean people. However, the dictator, general director of the army Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, leader of the government, dies in 2006 leaving incomplete numerous court cases that had sought to bring him to justice. This government murdered and tortured thousands persons during his repressive seventeen years in the top of the country. He dies the December 10th at a Santiago military hospital of complications from a heart attack, leaving incomplete numerous court cases that never were resolved.  The day that Pinochet died, the people that were affected for the repression in his government, especially familiars of politic murderers, arrested missing people and exiled people, jump to the streets to celebrate his death. This spontaneous celebration counts with the confrontation of the dissidents of Pinochet against his loyal followers. The police force suppresses the manifestations and reestablishes the order in the front of the Moneda, house of government, where the people went to celebrate the death. The world press published a lot of articles about the importance of this fact and stressed in the pending process about all the crimes that never paid.

My future job

What will be my future job? Is a very difficult answer to find, but more than that, the problem is the question itself. Nobody would want work for a unknown person or for a big company with a smile in her/his face. Is ridiculous think in me living the life of other, playing with the expectative of others persons, looking for a salary, transforming my dreams to the requirements that I need. Actually I study Journalism in the university and the employments that I could get are very simple and monotone, with a lot of empty works inside of depressives places, follow empty facts in a world who nobody cares. Basically, my career is for the dominant class, the people who have the power, the decisions, and the money. Being honest, I need a brand new idea to find me a place in this city, in this country, in this world. I would like write a lot of text about a lot of topics for a long time of my life. Or make documental films or some like this, against the route that other drop instead of me. I don’t want be comfortable, being comfortable would be a big mistake a dishonor to my mind. So, like we can see in these lines, I’m far away to be able to respond this question, but I know what I think to respect of this topic.

Hijo de Satanás

This is the book that i’m Reading in this momento of my life. I’d read a lot of books in my life, this is why I choose the current. It was a very difficult work, you know, the choosing. This book was wrote for Charles Bukowski (August 16, 1920 – March 9, 1994). He was a German-born American poet, novelist and short story writer. This book in particular is a re edition from Septuagenarian Stew: Stories & Poems, a Bukowski’s publication from 1990 that arrived to Hispanic américa with the title “Hijo de Satanás”. The book contains a series of short stories about bohemian life from very different characters in a world of pain, boredom and monotony. Also, in the original edition of this book, this has a lot of Bukowski’s poems. The histories talk about gamblers, alcoholics, drug and homeless people, or also about normal people looking for escape from his empty lives. Has a quick lecture, with a soft but brutal narrative that envelops to the reader. I like this style and I would really like read more from this writer. The life has a new veil when the night come to us and "the new" is always fun.
